Green Coat (overdress)

I have had this finished for a while but couldn't take the time to upload a few photos. These aren't the best but they give a good view of what the dress looks like.

The "coat" as I'm calling it is made of a green tapestry-esque fabric with a subtle vine/leaf pattern. The sleeves are a full bell sleeve with openings along the top tied together with ribbons. There is a brown velvet edging along the sleeve openings. The rest of the dress is a rolled hem or lined with a mossy green lining. The skirt is attached by large box pleats to make it sit cleaner along the waist. It is closed by 4 silver leaf buckles. It is shown below with the brown chemise underdress.

I made this dress for the cover of the book Cinders by Michelle Davidson Argyle. I liked how it turned out that I am planning on making another dress in the very near future.

Amazing craftsmanship! I'm so impressed with the amount of thought that went into the cover design of Cinders -- brava to you both!
