I spent the weekend working on the set of Capital Punishment, a local short. It is a "medical" type drama with some great twists and turns. The costumes were simple: medical scrubs, a prisoner's uniform, officer uniforms, doctor's coat. Must of the stuff was borrowed due to limited budget.
It was a blast to work with the cast/crew. We had fun on the last day of shooting when the props guy and I decided to play a trick on the director. The props master was locking the prisoner into the prison van when he started looking around for the key. He couldn't find it and started telling the director that they must have left the key in the city (which was an hour or so away), to which the director started freaking out. Much of the cast and crew started being worried that they weren't going to be able to get him out. I had a set of keys around my neck that people just didn't notice. After a few minutes we pulled the key out and unlocked him. When the director says "everything is just running so smoothly", usually the props and wardrobe people have to play some sort of trick. It has happened on each of the sets I've worked on. I love it.
Once I get some pictures from the set photographer, I will post them.
