Orange Slit Halter Dress
I didn't sew this dress entirely. I found the base orange dress with a lot of little rips and tears in it. The sparkly over was ripped in a few places as well. I did a lot of repairs on it, plus mended the curve of the train, added the underbust seams and center pin. I also extended the slit a bit for more movement through the hip.
These two would not leave the dress alone. They really had something for the way it smelled. I guess being kept in a sealed bag and the fact I bought the dress second hand didn't help any.
Bronze Wrap Dress
I made this dress back in 2003 for a ball I was going to. It has been in storage since then. I had seen a dress like it in the store and I liked the color and the cut but I wasn't about to pay a couple hundred bucks for a dress I would likely use only once. So with the help of my mom, we completed this gown. It has straps under the upper wrap so I can undo the seams and remove the wrap, but the wrap helps keep the shoulders covered (the benefit of the wrap without having to hold on to it). It is a sparkle bronze taffeta with a matte bronze taffeta underlay. There is a little netting to give it some weight and poof. Zipper back (which was a headache to put in)
